Hi, I'm Teacher Kendall.

Here at the Tiny Chef Kitchen, our goal is to teach parents and caregivers how to prepare food with their young children. I started the Tiny Chef Kitchen because I had a hard time finding good resources on how to work with very young children in the kitchen. Here's a bit about how my inspiration came about....

I love photography and noticed that the photos I was taking of my son and his friends at his preschool's summer "food camp" were unique. I decided to share those photos and the recipes that inspired them by composing a book called "The Tiny Chef: Recipes Preschoolers Love to Cook and Eat."

When I realized how excited other preschool parents were getting about preparing food with their kids, I decided to create this website and a Facebook page to provide more resources. I created an infographic showing what 1-5 year olds can do (with help) in the kitchen (available for free when you sign up for our newsletter!), as well as a "Getting Started Guide" to help caregivers visualize and learn about how they can include more cooperative food preparation in their lives. Click here to learn about the features of all 3 books the Tiny Chef Kitchen has published.
